2015 eGolf Gateway Tour Information

.

Charlotte, N.C. – The eGolf Gateway Tour announced today a guaranteed purse structure and tentative schedule for the upcoming 2015 east coast season. The 2015 eGolf Gateway Tour season will feature four tournaments with guaranteed purses of$200,000, as well as a vast number of east coast events highlighted by guaranteed $100,000 MINIMUM purses which will increase based on participation. The 2015 eGolf Gateway Tour east coast season will open on February 25-28, 2015 with the sixth annual Palmetto Hall Championship, set to be contested at Palmetto Hall Plantation on Hilton Head Island, SC.

On October 10th, Charlotte, N.C.-based eGolf announced a joint venture with Phoenix, A.Z.-based All-American Gateway Tour to create the eGolf Gateway Tour, in turn putting forth the largest nationwide developmental golf tour, with approximately 35 tournaments on both the east and west coasts – utall under the convenience of a singular membership.

The four guaranteed $200,000 events will be contested in the 2015 season, with the $200,000 Biggs Cadillac GMC Buick Classic set to be held at The Sound Golf Links at Albemarle Plantation in Hertford, N.C. on May 27-30. The four events, which continue the eGolf Gateway Tour’s trend of guaranteeing the largest purses in developmental tour golf, will be contested on both the east and west coasts, with the remaining three tournaments set to be announced in the coming weeks.

The tournaments will be open solely to eGolf Gateway Tour members, with non-members allowed entry on a space-available basis.

The 2014-15 eGolf Gateway Tour universal membership fee is currently $1,750, but will increase to $2,000 on December 15, 2014

The fee covers eGolf Gateway Tour events on both the east and west coasts, with tour members earning priority entry, as well as reduced entry fees into all regular season and championship events. This fee also allows for players to participate in Orlando, Fla.-based Fore The Players Tour events at reduced member fees.

Additional 2015 highlights include multiple Web.com Tour exemptions, free practice rounds for all east coast events, private housing at select tournaments, private club memberships in the greater Charlotte, N.C. area, rangefinders allowed and weekly cuts to the low 35 percent and ties.

East coast events will feature a mix of tournaments highlighted by guaranteed $100,000 minimum purses, as well as purses set to a traditional payback of 93 percent, based on participation numbers.

The guaranteed purses are all minimum guarantees, and set to increase based on participation for every player in the field over 100.
